PAC*SJ ANNOUNCES: CENTURY 21 THEATER ADDED TO CALIFORNIA REGISTER OF HISTORIC RESOURCES; STILL AWAITS NATIONAL

WED 16 JULY 2014 — EARLIER TODAY, PRESERVATION ACTION COUNCIL OF SAN JOSE (PAC*SJ) ANNOUNCED VIA ITS FACEBOOK PAGE THAT CENTURY 21 THEATER WAS ADDED AS A STATE LANDMARK AS A RESULT OF BEING DETERMINED “ELIGIBLE” TO THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES.

As said at Facebook from PAC*SJ:

More good news regarding Century 21:

The State Historic Preservation Officer has placed Century 21 on the California Register of Historical Resources. As stated in a letter to us:

“…on June 13, 2014, Century 21 Theater was determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places (National Register). As a result of being determined eligible for the National Register, this property has been listed in the California Register of Historical Resources, pursuant to Section 4851(a)(2) of the California Code of Regulations.”
